Bedtime stories are a nightly routine in our house. After the dinner the girls enjoy a bubble bath together, scrubbing away the fun of the day. I warm up some milk for them and we get into our pajamas and pick out a book. They love to take turns picking out their choice for their bedtime story – usually it ends up being several books. How can I say no to their developing love of reading??!!
A good bedtime routine always includes a story. If you’ve looked for a new way of getting your child to sleep you will want to check out The Rabbit Who Wants to Fall Asleep. Carl-Johan Forssén Ehrlin’s simple story uses a unique and distinct language pattern that will help your child relax and fall asleep — at bedtime or naptime. It gives parents the opportunity to personalize the story by using the child’s name, and provides written cues to yawn or read a sentence in a slow and calm voice, for a greater effect.

“I didn’t think this was going to work. . . . By about Page 3, though, the book was starting to have an effect. . . . He was down for the count by Page 6, and I left his room in shock. The routine played out the same the following night.”—Mackenzie Dawson, the New York Post
